Travelers share their stories

On Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 6 p.m., local residents Glenn Mears and Renee Miskimmin will share their world travel experiences at the Tuscarawas County Main Library.

Mears and Miskimmin will share pictures and firsthand stories of their travels to the Stans. Each of the five nations — Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan — has its own culture that is apparent from the moment you arrive. Participants will see the inside of these former Soviet republics that have been sovereign nations for only a little more than 30 years.
