Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Ohio announced a new partnership with OhioGuidestone and Noah's Hope Child Advocacy Center to offer comprehensive trauma-informed care training to all mentors participating in school-based programs across Tuscarawas County.

This initiative will help ensure mentors are equipped to support Littles who have experienced trauma.

The trauma-informed care training, developed and presented by OhioGuidestone, will be delivered at each school site where the mentoring program is active. This training will empower mentors to better understand and respond to the challenges faced by children who have experienced trauma.

Noah's Hope Child Advocacy Center is funding the training sessions.

“We are thrilled to partner with OhioGuidestone and Noah's Hope Child Advocacy Center to provide this essential training to our mentors,” said Beverly Pearch, president and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Ohio. “By equipping our mentors with the knowledge and skills needed to support children who have experienced trauma, we are ensuring that our Littles receive the compassionate care they deserve.”
