Public speaks
Mark Lancaster, representing My Town Strasburg, said since 2011 the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization has been in the basement of Synergy Graphics and Signs, located at 147 Stout Drive, and was founded by Tom Patton. Currently, Lancaster, Lucas Boylan and Chris Beck operate the site the second and fourth Sunday from 2-3 p.m. They accept donations and help local individuals by offering free furniture and other items. Lancaster said Jim Dawson, owner of Synergy Graphics and Signs, is expanding the business and needs the space. My Town must find a new space of about 1,800 square feet to continue operation.
“We want to keep the site here in the village and are looking for a creative solution. We will be open until July 28. We want to thank Jim Dawson for allowing us to use the basement rent and utility free for all these years,” Lancaster said.
