Savor the Flavor Tour is Sept. 20-21

Enjoy crisp air, changing leaves and the sweet flavors of fall on the annual Best of Ohio’s Amish Country Savor the Flavor Tour, scheduled for Sept. 20-21. Travel the roads of Amish Country, stopping to shop and tour seven Amish Country businesses, collecting a treat featuring fall-themed flavors at each one.

Sponsored by Best of Ohio's Amish Country, stops on the tour include Lehman's, Heini's Cheese Chalet, Coblentz Chocolate Company, Amish Door Village, Homestead Furniture, Walnut Creek Marketplace, and the Amish and Mennonite Heritage Center. Additionally, there will be extra discounts at select stops.

Participants can register at Walnut Creek Marketplace from 9 a.m. to noon. Each location on the tour will give out a treat, and it is recommended participants bring their own cooler to store them. Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased through Eventbrite. All proceeds from the Savor the Flavor Tour will be donated to Safe Harbor, a faith-based, long-term residential, therapeutic community for girls age 14-18 who have been recovered from sex traffickers.

All participants must begin at the Walnut Creek Marketplace to register and receive their Best of Ohio's Amish Country treat bag. After registering, you can visit the other locations in any order but check in no later than noon if you intend to finish the tour in one day as all locations except the Amish Door Restaurant close at 5 p.m.

This is a self-guided tour. You will be responsible for your own transportation to and from every destination. A handout and map will be provided when you register to begin the tour at the Walnut Creek Amish Flea Market.
