Program designed for new parents

The New Philadelphia Health Department will host an educational program series for new and expecting parents this fall at the Tuscarawas County Main Library, 121 Fair Ave. NW, New Philadelphia.

“There is a lot to know when you are a new or expecting parent,” children’s services manager Mary Smrek said. “We are happy to partner with our city health department for this free program series that will share valuable information.”

Topics include Car Seat Safety on Oct. 4, Immunizations and Health Department Resources on Oct. 18, and Safe Sleep Practices and High Lead Levels in Children on Nov. 1.
