Christmas cards and signed prints featuring the Tuscora Park Boardwalk by artist Christy Bloom are now available at Bloom’s Printing in Dennison, Dayspring Christian Bookstore and Alley Cats in New Philadelphia. They also are available online at www.artistchristybloom.etsy.com.

Cards are $20 for a pack of 20 cards with proceeds going toward Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. Corporate imprinting and larger quantities are available by calling Blooms Printing at 740-922-1765.

The boardwalk and gazebo are located between the Park Place Youth Center and the Tuscora Avenue parking lot entrance at Tuscora Park in New Philadelphia. The boardwalk was designed so people would enjoy being close to the water. There is seating and shade for daytime comfort and decorative lighting for evenings. The structure features a cantilever over the shoreline rocks, which provides an unimpeded view of the water. The gazebo is at one end of the boardwalk, and a concrete plaza is at the other end to provide additional access and seating.

Tuscora Park remains the city’s main attraction because of the commitment of the New Philadelphia Rotary Club to maintain the rides, concessions, youth center and Summer Showcase. The boardwalk project is the largest undertaking the Rotary Club has undertaken through the support of donors. The final cost of the project was estimated at $192,000.

“A special thank you to Sam Hitchcock for providing a beautiful photo which was the inspiration for this painting,” Christy Bloom said.
