ORHS Touch-A-Truck and Train event is Aug. 10

The Orrville Railroad Heritage Society will hold its second annual Touch-A-Truck and Train event on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the depot located at 2174 S. Crownhill Road in Orrville.
The Touch-A-Truck is free while the ORHS also will offer discounted train ride tickets for $10 per seat, offered onsite only.
There are multiple Touch-A-Truck events in the area, but there is only one in Wayne County where visitors also can Touch-A-Train.
At this time there are display commitments from the following:
—Big Mike’s Haulin LLC, multiple pieces of heavy equipment and trucks.
—Tyler Feed and Grain, tractor.
—Jimmy’s Ventrac and Skidsteer Service, Ventracs.
—DNH Stoll Farms, pedal tractors.
—ERTL Dairy Farm, pedal tractors.
—JNS Farms, animals.
—Feller Transport, semi truck/tractor.
—Scotts Miracle Gro, wheel loader.
—Blake's Diesel Care, rollback tow truck.
—ORHS Locomotive 471.
—ORHS Little Red Engine.
—ORHS CAR 501.
—ORHS Speeder Cars.
Other local equipment exhibits and local service agencies are scheduled to participate, and food will be available.
Also, the ORHS Santa trains will return in November, with tickets on sale now through Etix on the ORHS website.
