OneEighty expands to Milltown site

OneEighty has recently expanded behavioral health services to Wooster’s Milltown Professional Building, 128 E. Milltown Road, Suite 202, Wooster.
Counseling and therapy services are currently offered at the new Milltown location, and the range of services may expand in the future.
“I think, in general, it’s going to increase access to care,” said Bobbi Douglas, OneEighty’s executive director.
Douglas said having the second location in a different part of town will make an impact in terms of transportation for many clients.
Offering OneEighty’s care in a location close to primary care physicians allows for integration of a variety of services.
“Best practice has really shown that integrating physical health and behavioral health is a good thing,” Douglas said.
Being in proximity to a familiar doctor’s office may provide additional advantages.
“Integrating behavioral health services into the familiar setting of a doctor’s office can aid in breaking barriers for individuals, especially older adults, who might feel uncomfortable seeking behavioral health support elsewhere,” OneEighty staff psychologist Kathleen Fox said.
Additionally, OneEighty continues to ensure everyone has access to the behavior health services they need.
Fox said, “Financial constraints should never be a barrier to behavioral health support.”
OneEighty is a nonprofit that offers a range of services to the community by providing an evidence-based approach to sustainable recovery from trauma and addiction. Other critical services include mental health, prevention and education, and housing and supportive services in Wayne and Holmes counties.
