Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare luminaria event honors loved ones

Over 125 members of the community attended Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare’s Pathways of Hope luminaria event on Oct. 22 at the pond at its Wooster location behind the Gault Inpatient Pavilion.
Luminarias with the names of loved ones and special people being honored and remembered were lit, glowing at dusk around the pond. Proceeds raised from the event support programming for Pathways of Hope.
The event was open to everyone in the community, regardless of whether or not they have had a loved one in the care of Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare. Friends and families gathered for a brief program with music.
“We were honored that our community gathered to celebrate the lives of loved ones who have enriched their lives in so many ways,” said Katherine Ritchie, development director at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare. “We have a beautiful campus. Holding this event, with the fall colors around the pond, was truly lovely.”
Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare thanks the sponsors of the event for supporting its mission and making the event possible. Candlelight sponsors were Brethren Care and Huntington Bank. In-kind sponsors were Buehler’s and E&H Hardware. Special thanks were given to the Romich Foundation for providing a gift for all who attended the event.
