MSW’s Ladies Night Out is May 23

At Main Street Wooster’s Ladies Night Out on Thursday, May 23 from 4:30-7:30 p.m., attendees are encouraged to dress as their favorite rock star.

“We are thrilled to be bringing this event back for another year,” said Kerri Manley, the project coordinator. “Ladies can expect music, swag, giveaways, games and a chance to win one of our incredible raffle baskets filled with goodies from our downtown businesses by visiting 15 of the stops on the passport.”

Main Street Wooster will provide swag bags for the first 400 women who pick up a passport. This year the swag bags were donated by Wooster Color Point and are packed full of items provided by Main Street Wooster partners. These bags will be given away in the northeast quadrant by the pavilion, beginning at 4:30 p.m.

“We are really excited to provide the women of our community a night devoted to celebrating them,” Manley said. “The first year we brought the event back after COVID, the event was disco themed. Last year it was cowgirl themed, and in 2024 we are excited to bring this event back with a ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Is Queen’ theme.”

This theme was selected by the Main Street Wooster staff with nods to the Electric Light Orchestra song “Rock ‘N’ Roll Is King,” released in 1983.

“Downtown businesses take this theme and create displays, prizes, activities and more,” Manley said.

“We’re especially grateful to the Women’s Service Club of Wayne County for volunteering to hand out the passports and swag bags,” Main Street Wooster Executive Director Shannon Waller said. “Last year the line got really backed up. This year, with the additional help, we expect it to go very quickly.”
