Library plays host to children’s activities

September is bringing creative and educational programming back to the Dover Public Library Children’s Department. Story times will begin again for kids on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. for children under age 3 and 1:30 p.m. for age 3 and older. The 1:30 p.m. story time includes a craft relating to that week’s theme. The story times are not limited to those recommended ages, and there is no registration.
Book clubs will begin in September with an informational meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 4 p.m. There will be three book clubs this fall. The Kaleidoscope Club will meet the first Tuesday of each month at 4 p.m. This book club is for children age 5-7 who are advanced readers or who will help reading before each meeting. The Book Wanderers is for age 8-12 who can read independently. It will meet the first Tuesday of the month at 4:30 p.m. A One Book One Community book discussion for kids who want to read the OBOC book will be announced.
Lego Night will meet the second Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m. The Lego challenge will be a zipline race. Play-Doh Playdate will begin the fourth Saturday of the month from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Wacky Wednesday will be added to the lineup this fall.
