Legal Aid offers free clinics, presentations and information

Community Legal Aid will offer programs to anyone who may need legal help or who has an interest in these topics. Programs are taught by attorneys and are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted. Legal Aid advocates also host information tables at various public events within the community. Community members can get information about a variety of legal topics or discuss their concerns with an advocate.

Wayne County
—Pro Se Divorce Clinic: Preregistered applicants will learn about the divorce process, complete required court forms and learn how to represent themselves in a divorce action on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 9 a.m. The location will be provided upon registration and acceptance into the clinic program.

—Eviction prevention clinic: Tuesdays at 4 p.m. Learn about renters’ rights and options if facing an eviction. Visit www.communitylegalaid.org/eviction for details.
—Foreclosure prevention class: Learn about the foreclosure process and strategies that can help homeowners save their home on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 5 p.m. Visit www.communitylegalaid.org/foreclosure for details.
—Parents’ rights to visitation: Learn about parental rights and parenting time orders on Tuesday, Nov. 14 and 28 at 11 a.m. Visit www.communitylegalaid.org/parenthood for details.
—Online clinic in partnership with Goodyear: For eligible clients seeking help with record sealing or expungement, this program will be Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 5 p.m. Advanced registration is required.
