Learn about local orchestra at Friends of the LPL meeting

Did you know that Ashland, Ohio is the smallest community in the United States to have a professional orchestra?
Join the Friends of the Loudonville Public Library on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 2 p.m. to learn more about the Ashland Symphony Orchestra. Martha Buckner, executive director of the orchestra, will tell attendees how the ASO works to enrich the quality of life for all generations by presenting orchestral music. Learn how the orchestra also promotes community involvement and encourages music education.
Buckner joined the staff of the ASO in July 2014 and served on the board of directors before that. She introduced the successful Traveling Instrument Petting Zoo.
The Friends group will meet in the library’s lower level. Anyone interested in supporting the library and learning more about the orchestra is welcome to attend.
