Kimble named committeeman by GOP

At the Aug. 16 Ohio State Central Committee meeting, members unanimously elected Tuscarawas County Republican Chairman Greg Kimble as the Republican State Central committeeman for Ohio District 31. Kimble will replace late party Chairman Doug Wills.

The elected state central committee members decide the Republican Party’s policy development, fundraising and other campaign activities. While the Republican State Central Committee operates under specific bylaws, the state central committees have duties prescribed in the Ohio Revised Code. They must follow the rules of the Federal Elections Commission.

The combined decisions of the state central committees from all states build the national agenda for each political party.
