Kennedy to headline Lincoln Day Dinner
The Tuscarawas County Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Day Dinner will be Tuesday, April 25 and will feature Sharon Kennedy, chief justice of the Supreme Court of Ohio. A VIP reception will take place at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m.
Kennedy first joined the court as an associate justice in 2012, having been elected to fill an unexpired term. She was elected to her first full term in November 2014 and re-elected in November 2020. Prior to her term on the Ohio Supreme Court, she served at the Butler County Court of Common Pleas Domestic Relations Division, beginning in 1999.
Kennedy began her career in the justice system as a police officer at the Hamilton Police Department. During her time as an officer, she also worked undercover operations, implemented crime-prevention programs, and assisted in drafting police policy and procedure for the accreditation program as a civil assistant.
Alex Triantafilou, the newly elected chairman for the Ohio Republican Party, will share updates and insight from the ORP. Triantafilou has devoted his career to supporting Republican causes. Most recently, he served as chairman of the Hamilton County Republican Party in Cincinnati and was an active member of the state central committee of the Ohio GOP.
The event will be held at The Tool Shed at Breitenbach Winery and includes dinner. The cost is $75 per person or $135 per couple.
