The community carnival is free to all 5k participants. The carnival will run from 9 a.m. to noon and will include face painting, carnival games, family swimming, food and more. The cost is $15 for member families and $20 for nonmember families.

Bike buy

The Orrville branch also is raising money for a new recumbent bike, which is a very popular piece of equipment in the workout area of the Y.

“Recumbent bikes are probably the most used piece of cardio equipment in the gym,” said Lindsey Baumgartner, director of the Orrville branch. “Many seniors cannot do cardio standing on a treadmill, elliptical or StairMaster because it is too hard on their joints, and this is where the recumbent bike comes in.”

If you would like to donate to the purchase of the recumbent bike or for more information on membership or any of the youth camps, call the Orrville YMCA at 330-684-2153.
