The Indian Valley Foundation will host its sixth annual spring gala on April 6 from 4:30-9 p.m. at the Harvest Barn at 420 Dutch Valley Drive NE in Sugarcreek. Tickets are $50 each, and there is a cash bar. The gala is the signature fundraising event of the IV Foundation.

The event will include a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, a dinner prepared by Log Cabin Catering, a live auction by auctioneer Bob Hall, a silent auction, a wine pull and a gift card pull. Photos of live and silent auction items are posted and updated regularly on the IVF Facebook page at www.facebook.com/IVFoundation. All proceeds will benefit the Indian Valley School District and IV students attending Buckeye Career Center to support scholarships, teacher classroom grants and school buildings grants not funded by traditional sources.

The gala has received continued support every year from the community. Support comes from the average 275 attendees of the event; corporate and personal sponsors; donors of gift cards, gift baskets and auction items; and event volunteers. Each year the foundation has received more support from local businesses. This year Aultman/Aultcare is the premier corporate sponsor of the event.

The spring gala has grown from raising $26,000 in 2018 to $49,227 in 2023. These funds have enabled the foundation to increase the support to the Indian Valley District and students attending Buckeye Career Center.

Since its inception in 2009, the foundation has given $495,678 in support of the IV School District including $351,000 in scholarships, $81,000 in building grants and $63,678 in teacher classroom grants.

The IVF is an independent, nonprofit, charitable organization that is governed by a volunteer board of directors. All IVF programs and activities are planned and implemented by volunteers from the community, school district and alumni.
