Winter Reading Program

Choose adult, teen or children’s books and read for a chance to win prizes through March 2. Registration is required.

Nutrition 101

Jackie Kaufman, registered dietitian nutritionist at Pomerene Hospital, will discuss popular diets at the Central Library on Monday, Jan. 8 at 6 p.m. There will be a door prize drawing for a Kinetics massage gift card.

Story times

For kids age 2-5 with an adult, there will be story times at the Killbuck Community Library on Tuesdays, Jan. 9, 16, 23 and 30 at 10:30 a.m., at the East Branch Library on Wednesdays, Jan. 10, 17, 24 and 31 at 10:30 a.m., and at the Central Library on Fridays, Jan. 12, 19 and 26 at 10:30 a.m.

STEAMKids Club

School-age kids will make a light maze and solve the law of light reflection at the Central Library on Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 5:30 p.m. Registration is required.

Little Learners Playgroup

Kids up to age 5 with an adult will engage in activities to promote reading and social skills at the Central Library on Fridays, Jan. 12, 19 and 26 at 11 a.m. Snacks are provided.

Paws to Read

Children are invited to read to a certified therapy dog from Caring Therapy Canines at the Central Library on Saturday, Jan. 13 from 11 a.m. to noon.

Author Visit

Gregg Olsen, a New York Times, USA Today and The Wall Street Journal award-winning author, will be at the Central Library on Friday, Jan. 19 at 6 p.m. Hear the story behind “Justice for Ida” when Olsen discusses his recently released book “The Amish Wife.” Olsen has been a guest on dozens of national and local television shows including educational programs. Registration is required.

Sasquatch Seekers

Those age 10-15 are invited to explore the world of Bigfoot at the Central Library on Monday, Jan. 22 at 5:30 p.m. Attendees will create Bigfoot pictures and receive some Bigfoot swag. Registration is required.

Bluey Wackadoo Day

Come to the Central Library on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. for a day of all things Bluey with games and crafts. Registration is required.

Book discussion
for adults

The event will be held Tuesday, Jan. 30 discussing “The Bear and the Nightingale” by Katherine Arden at the Central Library at 1 p.m. and “At the Coffee Shop of Curiosities” by Heather Webber at Jitters Coffee House in Millersburg at 6 p.m.
