Winter Reading Program

Choose adult, teen or children’s books and read for a chance to win prizes through March 2. Registration is required.

Story times

For kids age 2-5 with an adult, there will be story times at the Killbuck Community Library on Tuesdays, Feb. 6, 13, 20 and 27 at 10:30 a.m.; at the East Branch Library on Wednesdays, Feb. 7, 14, 21 and 28 at 10:30 a.m.; and at the Central Library on Fridays, Feb. 2, 9, 16 and 23 at 10:30 a.m.

Little Learners Playgroup

Kids up to age 5 with an adult will engage in activities to promote reading and social skills at the Central Library on Fridays, Feb. 2, 9, 16 and 23 at 11 a.m. Snacks are provided.

Exercise 101

For those interested in being more active this year, Gus Baker, an exercise specialist at Kinetics, will share tips to begin an exercise program at the Central Library on Monday, Feb. 5 at 6 p.m. Participants can sign up to win a fitness tracking device. Registration is required.

Paws to Read

Children are invited to read to a certified therapy dog from Caring Therapy Canines at the Central Library on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 11 a.m. to noon.

Craft Night

Children age 10-15 will use Perler Beads to create a variety of items from magnets to coasters at the Central Library on Monday, Feb. 12 at 5:30 p.m. Registration is required.

STEAMKids Club

Children age 7-12 will learn about optical illusions by creating an animated toy using the properties of motion at the Central Library on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 5:30 p.m. Registration is required.

How to Macramé

Attendees will learn the basics of macramé and create a bookmark in this introductory class at the Central Library on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. The program is intended for adults and teens. Registration is required.

Kids NERF Night

Children age 7-12 will play NERF games at the Central Library on Feb. 22 at 5:30 p.m. To join, attendees must bring their own blasters and darts that are labeled with their name, fill out a permission slip, and register. Participants can enter to win a NERF blaster.

Book discussion for adults

The event will be held Tuesday, Feb. 27 discussing “Faith Bass Darling’s Last Garage Sale” by Lynda Rutledge at the Central Library at 1 p.m. and “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr at Jitters Coffee House in Millersburg at 6 p.m. Books are available to borrow at the Central Library.
