Holmes County Fair tickets, passes now on sale

Preparations are now well under way for the 97th edition of the Holmes County Fair with the fair scheduled Aug. 10-15 at Harvest Ridge.

Grandstand tickets, season passes and reserve parking passes are now on sale at the fair office with hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.

One of the few remaining fairs without open exhibition livestock shows, putting all the focus on local 4-H and FFA youth, this year's fair will include a full Junior Fair under the original schedule prior to the pandemic. In mid-June the fair board voted to proceed with a nearly full fair schedule including amusement rides, food and commercial vendors, and open shows of home arts, flowers and photography.

The board continues to work with the Holmes County Health Department for guidance and is committed to maintaining any state mandates, as well as recommended health practices to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Admission is $6 including parking and general grandstand admission with age 10 and under free. Senior citizen admission (65 and older) is $4, and Wednesday is Veteran's Day with free admission to active military or veterans with proper ID.
