Holmes County begins state-mandated property value updates
Triennial revaluation postcards reflect 2022–24 sales trends; tax impacts determined later
Triennial revaluation postcards will be mailed soon to all affected property owners. Ohio law requires Holmes County property values to be updated in 2025 (payable in 2026) to reflect the current real estate market. This state-mandated update is a statistical trend of values based on recent sales of property. Sales data from 2022-24 reveal residential and agricultural sale prices exceed the current auditor values.
View parcel information at www.holmescountyauditor.org, email questions to realestatedept@co.holmes.oh.us, call 330-674-1896 or visit with staff at the auditor’s office, 75 E. Clinton St., Suite 107, Millersburg, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The auditor’s office has no control over the tax rate, which is established by the voting public and other factors. Taxes do not increase or decrease at the same rate as values. The auditor’s office will not receive tax rates until the end of December, so taxes cannot be determined at this time.
