Heritage Signs: Sending a clear message
Words. They have the power to excite, delight and sometimes even incite. Since 2013, Lee and Barbi Beachy, owners of Heritage Signs, have been translating the words of businesses and individuals onto signs of virtually every size, shape and medium. Sometimes those words are shared on a billboard or side of a truck, and other times they can be found on a party banner or wall inside of a home.
“There is almost no limit to the variety of signage we can do,” Barbi Beachy said. “For businesses, we produce illuminated and backlit signs, monument signs, vehicle wraps and vehicle magnets, billboards, jobsite signs, LED message signs, and logo design. For individuals, we produce party and announcement banners and decals that can be put on a wall, like a favorite quote or verse.”
A sampling of local businesses that have counted on Heritage Signs to get their message across include Walnut Creek Foods, Troyer Cheese, B&L Transport, ProVia, Mast Trucking, the Village Gift Barn and Trademark Exteriors. They also help Dutchman Hospitality promote its shows by making sure billboard signage located throughout the area grabs attention.
“The company was Yoder Signs for 25 years before we took over,” Barbi Beachy explained. “We waited two years to change the name after we bought it in 2013 in an effort to reflect not only the new ownership, but also a new direction for the business. We’ve worked hard to enhance the customer experience by providing outstanding service and staunchly sticking to deadlines. Our reputation reflects that dedication to exceeding our customers’ expectations.”
Lee Beachy spent six years working at Yoder Signs before leaving the business to pursue a career in ministry. When the opportunity presented itself for the couple to purchase the company, they jumped at the chance to make their own mark on the signage industry.
With their conscientious approach to customer service at the forefront, Heritage Signs has enjoyed such a tremendous growth spurt over the last few years that it prompted the Beachys to add another designer to their team. “We have three full-time people in production. Our success and growth would not be possible without their willingness to jump on board, make changes and be committed to working hard for our customers.”
“People recognize that we can handle the bigger projects, like full semi-truck wraps and larger signs,” Barbi Beachy said. “And we’re a one-stop shop. We take care of every aspect of a design from start to finish, right here in our shop.”
Barbi Beachy stressed that although the company is a go-to for area businesses with a reputation to maintain, it shouldn’t deter individuals from looking to Heritage Signs to get the word out.
Heritage Signs is a recognized option for small-business owners who operate outside of their homes. “Our vehicle magnets are an affordable alternative to a vehicle wrap and can still get the message across,” she said.
For regular folks who have something to say, Heritage Signs can help them get the word out too.
“We can create a banner for a wedding, parking and directional signs for guests and even create an inspirational quote for the couple to affix to a wall in their new home along with a canvas print of their wedding photo,” Barbi Beachy said. “No matter what size the project, we work with our customers until they’re happy with the message they want to send.”
Barbi Beachy said people visit the Heritage Signs Facebook page to see the company’s finished works or stop into the freshly constructed customer showroom, where examples of completed projects are on display. “These are terrific sources of inspiration,” she said.
Pricing for all signs is based on the size and type of sign being made, and now is a perfect time to have Heritage Signs get started on a planned spring sign installation.
“It takes time to get all of the details exactly right, so planning ahead is key,” Barbi Beachy said.
