HCHS cemetery walk at Oak Hill

A Walk in the Past, where visitors can meet figures from Holmes County’s past at their final resting place, will be held June 15 from 2-4 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg.
The event, sponsored by the Holmes County Historical Society, is free, with donations accepted.
The program will begin with a brief history of the cemetery and the authentication of the Adena Indian Mound by Mark Boley and Debbie Kline. This will be followed by a brief narrative from each character who will then navigate to their final resting place. After the mound presentation, guests can walk to their graves and hear more from the characters. This will be a factual historical program for the entire family.
The following is a list of characters and people portraying them:
—Dr. John Bigham told through the eye of his sister Maria, portrayed by Mayor Kelly Hoffee.
—Sheriff Jacob Bell, Tom Vaughn.
