Game On Lock-In to be held for teens

The Dover Public Library invites local teens to a Game On Lock-In on Friday, Aug. 2 from 6-11 p.m. Teens entering sixth grade through 12th grade are invited to this free event featuring food, games and crafts. Registration is limited to 20 teens, and a permission slip is required for the event. Call the library at 330-343-6123 or visit www.doverlibrary.org/events to register.
This year the lock-in will feature free pizza, kindness rocks and group games in the library. Participants also are welcome to bring board games and snacks to share.
“The annual lock-in is a great way to celebrate the end of our Summer Reading Program,” teen services manager Liz Strauss said. “Plus, it is one of the few times teens get to run in the library.”
This teen program is funded in part by a 21st Century Afterschool Learning Grant with Dover High School, which supports communities in creating learning opportunities outside the classroom such as the Dover Public Library’s Mobile STEAM Lab and monthly Teen Subscription Boxes.
The Dover Public Library is located at 525 N. Walnut St. in Dover and online at www.doverlibrary.org.
