Funding for Clean Ohio Green Space program open
Round 16 funding for the Clean Ohio Green Space Conservation Program is now open.
The Green Space Conservation Program through the Ohio Public Works Commission is dedicated to environmental conservation including the acquisition of green space and the protection and enhancement of river and stream corridors.
The latest round of funding for District 14, which includes Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Holmes, Jefferson and Tuscarawas counties, is now open. Prescreening checklists are due to the Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association office by 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 9.
Approximately $2,320,687 is available this round.
The Natural Resources Assistance Council District 14 Clean Ohio Handbook, the methodology, the prescreening checklist and application for District 14, and the Ohio Public Works application for financial assistance are available at www.omegadistrict.us/programs/community_development/opwc-greenspace/. A list of important dates related to the program also is available on the OMEGA website.
