Fresh Start classes focus on a path to an abundant life

For years Love In the Name of Christ has provided paths to financial freedom and spiritual well-being for those who have taken part of the Fresh Start classes.
This year’s set of classes is designed to initiate discussion and help people dive into their personal lives to find peace and joy in life.
“Pathway To Living an Abundant Life” is the theme of this year’s classes, and the goal-oriented classes are designed to challenge individuals and couples.
According to Vicki Conn, executive director at Love INC, “This set of classes evaluates the physical, emotional, relational and spiritual areas of a person’s life. It builds on the foundation that God has created us with essential worth and unique potential with a purpose in mind. Participants will learn to dream for the future, set goals and create steps to achieve those goals. Let us help you face and accept your past to better understand the present as you embrace your future.”
The following classes are available:
Spiritual — Who Is Jesus?
This class is from Jan. 15 to Feb. 26 from 7-8 p.m. with facilitators Steve and Katrina Schneiter. Have you or someone you know ever wondered about whether Jesus was truly who he claimed to be in the Bible? Is he truly God or just a good teacher? Is he truly a friend or just a judgmental foe? Is he the way to God or just a way among many? In Who Is Jesus? Pastor Louie Giglio shows how God has called Christians to be storytellers of his grace, sharing the message of salvation through their own personal testimony and example.
Relational — Good Boundaries & Goodbyes
This class will take place Jan. 15 to Feb. 26 from 7-8 p.m. with facilitator Bri Newsome. Is it unloving or selfish to set a boundary? Are Christians ever called to walk away from a relationship that’s no longer safe or sustainable? Lysa TerKeurst understands these hard questions in the midst of relational struggles. But after thousands of hours of counseling and theological research that transformed the way she defined healthy relationships, she is now more committed than ever to loving people without losing the best of who she is. She wants to help you do the same.
Physical — Healthy Living
This class takes place Jan. 15 to Feb. 26 from 7-8 p.m. with facilitator Tanya Miller and will involve discussions on real life living while creating body movements. The goal is to walk closer with Jesus and take care of your physical health through exercise.
Emotional — Affirming Potential
Janet Boyd will facilitate this class Jan. 15 to Feb. 26 from 7-8 p.m. This class evaluates the physical, emotional, relational and spiritual areas of a person’s life. It builds on the foundation God has created each person with essential worth and unique potential with a purpose in mind. Participants will learn to dream for the future, set goals and create steps to achieve those goals.
Mental — Winning the War in Your Mind
This class will be offered Jan. 15 to April 15 from 7-8 p.m. with facilitator Debbi Miller.
Are your thoughts out of control, just like your life? Do you long to break free from the spiral of destructive thinking? Let God’s truth become your battle plan to win the war in your mind. Pastor Craig Groeschel understands this daily battle against self-doubt and negative thinking, and in his book, he reveals the strategies he’s discovered to change your mind and your life for the long-term.
