The Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition was awarded an Enbridge Gas Ohio Fueling Futures Grant of $10,000 for the Ohio & Erie Canalway Environmental Stewardship Program.

The Environmental Stewardship Program will hold canal cleanups from November 2024 to June 2025 in structured programs that encourage responsibility and environmental stewardship to improve the habitat along the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail. Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition’s canal cleanups remove nearly 3 tons of trash annually from parks, trails and public spaces.
