Dover Public Library to offer free computer classes

The Dover Public Library will offer a series of free computer classes for the public this winter and early spring. All classes in the Tech Nights at the Library series are free and open to the public and begin at 6 p.m. Scheduled classes are as follows: Introduction to the Ohio eBook Project, Monday, Jan. 30; Online Dating and Social Media, Monday, Feb. 6; Using Your Kindle, Monday, Feb. 13; Facebook 101, Thursday, Feb. 16; Online Research, Monday, Feb. 27; Typing 101, Monday, March 5. The library will also be starting a monthly Ask the Computer Guy program where people with technology, computer, or gadget related questions and concerns can make an appointment with Rob Schwenk, the library’s computer guy. Schwenk will meet with people on an appointment basis on the first Saturday of every month, from 10 a.m. to noon. Technology room staff members Mary Prysi and Liz Strauss are also available for appointments throughout the week with individuals who have questions about eBooks and eReaders.
