Published Modified

The Ohio Cardinal Conference recently announced Dover City Schools has been invited to join the conference.

Dover is a strong academic and athletic school district with a rich tradition. The OCC is committed to providing its students with the best possible academic and athletic experience. The OCC believes Dover’s addition will make the conference even more competitive.

Board approval from Dover and a written notice of acceptance to the OCC commissioner are still pending. If approved, Dover will begin participating in the league in the 2025-26 school year for all sports, except football. Football will begin the 2026-27 school year.

The OCC is currently a seven-school conference that includes schools from across the region.
