The Friends of the Dover Public Library invites the public to celebrate going back to school with its display for the month of August. Currently located in the vestibule, display cases include some of the best-selling children’s books of all time including “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom” and “Harold and the Purple Crayon,” which will soon to be a feature film.

“We invite the public to come and see these timeless children’s books,” said Dianne Bonvechio, a volunteer for the Friends of the Dover Public Library. “Many of us have read these books or have shared them with their children or their classroom.”

The Friends of the Library operates the Book Cellar book store open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon with all proceeds benefiting the Friends of the Dover Public Library.

The library reminds the public to contact the library if they have a collection.

The Dover Public Library is located at 525 N. Walnut St. Call the Dover Public Library at 330-343-6123.
