Dalton library has upcoming programs

Children
January’s project for Grab and Go Science is a butterfly coffee filter, available while supplies last.
Take It and Make It will be all day Mondays while supplies last: Jan. 8, winter snowman; Jan. 22, grab bag; Feb. 5, Valentine’s Day; Feb. 19, owl magnet.
Winter Fun Camp will be held Tuesdays from 6-7 p.m. Students during the five-session camp will explore shadows, the science behind snow, how animals and humans adapt to winter, and how force and motion operate in winter and beyond through hands-on activities incorporating characters from PBS Kids. This program is due to a partnership with PBS and the Ohio Department of Education. Registration for all five sessions is for kindergarten through second grade. Sessions are in the meeting room. Dates are Jan. 9, 16, 23 and 30 and Feb. 6.
Make motivational cards using Cricut on Friday, Jan. 19 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and share them with friends, family or community members. Registration is required for age 5 and up. Limited seats are still available.
Teens and adults
Chess Night for age 12 and up will be Monday, Jan. 22 from 6-7:30 p.m. Bring a board if you have one. No registration is required.
All ages
Come and see the movie “Mighty Ducks” in the meeting room on Friday, Jan. 12 from 1-2:30 p.m. Bring your own drink, blanket or pillow. Popcorn will be provided and donated by Lehman’s.
Hours
Library hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
