County library to offer a Summer Author Series that will inspire you

The Tuscarawas County Public Library System will host four authors this summer as part of its Summer Author Series.
“We are fortunate to have three author programs at our main library and one at our Bolivar branch,” TCPL Director Michelle McMorrow Ramsell said. “Those attending are sure to be inspired as they listen to authors share their passions and what led to them writing their books.”
The Bolivar Branch Library will welcome author Laura Ball on Monday, June 3 at 10:30 a.m. Ball, the author of the children’s book “Albert the Donkey Meets a New Friend,” will share her story during a special story time.
“This Is Gonna Hurt” author Brandon Weis will detail his journey hiking over 7,000 miles in a year through multiple trails at the Tuscarawas County Main Library on Saturday, June 8 at 1 p.m. Weis completed The Calendar Year Triple Crown — hiking the Appalachian Trail, Pacific Crest Trail and Continental Divide Trail in the same year, an achievement considered rare.
On Wednesday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Tuscarawas County Main Library, author Amy Hayes will present her book, “Graceful Parenting.” Hayes will teach parents how to keep their cool in the heat of summer while peacefully engaging their children’s cooperation. Parents will learn how to respond instead of react, correct instead of condemn and even how to put their kids on autopilot.
Tuscarawas County native Trang Moreland will promote her newly released cookbook, “I Am You,” on Tuesday, July 9 at 6 p.m. at the Tuscarawas County Main Library. Moreland will conduct a Vietnamese cooking demonstration with samples to share.
The Tuscarawas County Main Library is located at 121 Fair Ave. NW in New Philadelphia and the Bolivar Branch Library at 455 W. Water St. in Bolivar. A book-signing and Q-and-A will follow each program.
Seating is limited, and registration is required. Visit the library system’s online calendar at www.tusclibrary.org or call the Tuscarawas County Main Library at 330-364-4474 or the Bolivar Branch Library at 330-874-2720.
