Coshocton ‘Antiques in the Park’ event growing
Antiques in the Park will be held Saturday, June 5 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in downtown Coshocton at the artPARK.
Several vendors will set up throughout the artPARK, entertainment will be provided and there will be food vendors. Kids games will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, reptile and magic show by Dick McCune from noon to 2 p.m., Elvis impersonator from 2-4 p.m., and sidewalk chalk art contest with prizes from 2-3:30 p.m. The Coshocton Art Guild also will host hands-on art activities for “closet artists.” Their programs will be geared toward adults. Any children who participate must be accompanied by an adult.
More than 20 tables have been reserved so far. To reserve a spot to sell antiques, crafts or primitive items, call president and event director Wallace Guthrie at 330-600-4693, event vice president William Appis at 740-502-3792 or Our Town Coshocton director Lanny Spaulding at 740-623-5934.
Anne Cornell from the Pomerene Center for Arts, which operates the artPARK, is excited to have this new event there.
“The artPARK was designed for community use,” she said. “The antique fair goes right up that alley. We are hopeful that this event sets a precedent, and we invite anyone, any organization, to get in touch with us if they are interested in following suit.”
