Community invited to unveiling of 'Tapestries'

A special community reception for the unveiling of the latest edition of “Tapestries of Tuscarawas County” will be held in the community room of the Dover Public Library on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m.
“Tapestries of Tuscarawas County” is a literary and oral history journal published annually that features work by individuals with connections to Tuscarawas County.
“The sixth edition of the publication is once again full of original work that pieces together a multitude of stories, poems and works of art that create a picture of Tuscarawas County,” said Kim Jurkovic, local history librarian. “Every year we put this together, we realize more and more the amount of local talent in both writing and the arts in this area. As always we are excited to present this latest edition to the community.”
Contributing authors will have the opportunity to read portions of their work at the event. The top submissions in three categories will be awarded a cash prize. Copies of “Tapestries” will be available for purchase at the reception for $5 a copy.
