Claymont FFA members received their first degree

Over 40 first-year FFA members received the first degree they can earn within the organization: the Greenhand Degree. The Claymont FFA hosted Greenhand Degree Night for families to celebrate and recognize the achievements of their students. This year there was a special twist.
All first-year members had the opportunity to apply for and receive an FFA jacket. Eight members were recipients of these donations. Getting their own jackets is another step in being involved in the organization and growing as a leader.
During Greenhand Degree Night, sponsors were able to attend and hand out the jackets to their recipients. Sponsors included Forever Young Acres, the Aul family, the Peters family, Dr. Brandon Michels from Sugarcreek Veterinary Services, Three Palms Home Solutions LLC and Home Sweet Home Services LLC.
