chosen for ARTSNCT award

In a celebration of dedication and artistic excellence, the Tuscarawas Arts Partnership will be honored with an Honorary Manuel Yingling Music Award. This recognition, presented by ARTSNCT, highlights TAP’s contributions to the local arts scene over nearly a decade.
TAP has supported individual artists, arts organizations and local communities throughout Tuscarawas County. The organization’s impact is multifaceted, encompassing arts programming, relationship building and economic development. By collaborating with community partners and local businesses, TAP not only funds and supports the arts, but also drives initiatives that foster creativity and cultural engagement.
The Manuel Yingling Music Award, a symbol of superior musicianship and dedication, was established to honor individuals who excel in performance, community involvement and the promotion of music. The award is named after Newcomerstown’s own Manuel Yingling, a world-renowned trombonist who played with the John Philip Sousa Band. The award celebrates those who help pass the torch to future generations of musicians.
“Tuscarawas Arts Partnership, through its generosity, participation and leadership, has been a part of all facets of the requirements set for Yingling Award recipients,” said Michael Wise, executive director of ARTSNCT. “For this reason, ARTSNCT proudly presents its first Honorary Manuel Yingling Music Award to TAP.”
TAP will receive the award at the annual ceremony, where ARTSNCT also will present its seventh annual Yingling Award to Bobby Stocker, this year’s distinguished recipient.
The awards celebration will be held at ARTSNCT on Thursday, Oct. 24 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
The arts center is located at 304 S. College St. in Newcomerstown. For more information call 740-575-5710.
