Casino Royale fundraiser to benefit uninsured

The United Way of Tuscarawas County will host Casino Royale. The fundraiser will benefit the Tuscarawas Clinic for the Working Uninsured and will be held Feb. 24 at Kent State Tuscarawas Performing Arts Center. The event, celebrating 15 years of service to the community, will be held from 6-10 p.m. with silent and live auctions, casino games, hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar.
“It’s a fun evening with friends and sponsors coming together to benefit the clinic,” said Pat Warther, executive director for the Tuscarawas Clinic for the Working Uninsured. “There are many silent auction items and baskets to bid on, as well as live auction items such as a recliner, bourbon basket, and an escorted bus tour to local wineries or breweries, prizes awarded for gambling chips as well as a chance to win a tree full of lottery tickets.”
Casino Royale is sponsored Dover-Phila Federal Credit Union, The Commercial & Savings Bank, Pinnacle Foot and Ankle, Hawk Dental, Dr. Carrie Carroll, Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital, Wendy’s, Dover Hydraulics, Jason Bambeck-Howard Hanna, Groovfold, Neidenthal and Company, Park Village Health Care Center, Pipes Insurance, Stutzman’s Landscaping, Warther Tours, and Zemis Legal Services.
Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased online at www.tuscunitedway.org/events or at the clinic by calling 330-364-1853. All proceeds benefit the clinic, which serves Tuscarawas County residents who are employed without insurance. The clinic is located at 420 Reeves Ave., Suite D, Dover.
