Candidates urged to submit to voter guide

The League of Women Voters of Tuscarawas County invites candidates in countywide races in the March 19 primary election to participate in the league’s voter guide.
Emails have already been sent to most candidates. Letters were mailed to candidates whose emails could not be found and should have arrived last week. Any candidate who has not yet received an email or letter is welcome to email tuscleagueofwomenvoters@gmail.com to have their invitation sent again.
As an update to their voter service efforts this year, the local league is using www.Vote411.org for all voter guide correspondence. Candidates will receive a personalized link where they can enter their biographical information and answer one or more questions relevant to the office they are seeking. They can even upload a picture of themselves from the candidate portal.
Candidates are encouraged to submit their responses to the voter guide as soon as possible to ensure their answers are available to voters before early voting starts on Feb. 21.
Voters are encouraged to visit www.Vote411.org to see what will be on their ballot and learn about the platforms their candidates stand on. In addition, they can find important election dates, polling place information, early voting hours, how voter I.D. laws have changed and more.
The league also would like to remind voters to check their voter registration at www.voteohio.gov before Feb. 20 to ensure they are eligible to vote in the March primary election.
