Auditor has levy info online

Holmes County Auditor Jackie McKee reminds residents of a feature on the Holmes County Auditor’s website through which property owners can visit the website at www.holmescountyauditor.org and search for their property by name, address or parcel number. Once the parcel is up, election ballot information will be at the top of the summary page. Click on “More Information” for detailed levy material.
This feature will allow voters to be informed prior to going to the polls on what the proposed issues mean to their wallets. It will also assist taxpayers in knowing what the estimated increases will be to their upcoming tax bill due to the passage of the levies by the majority of the voters.
The Nov. 5 ballot will include the following additional, renewal and replacement of property tax levies:
—Holmes County, senior citizen services, 0.19 mills, additional, five years
—Holmes County, County Home, 1.50 mill, renewal, five years
—Holmes County, Board of Developmental Disabilities, 3.75 mills, renewal, continuing
—Loudonville-Perrysville Exempted Village School District, Bond, 9.743, additional, 37 years
—Loudonville-Perrysville Exempted Village School District, permanent improvement, 0.50 mills, additional, continuing
—Paint Township, Fire & EMS, 2.00 mills, replacement, five years
—Prairie Township, Road, 3.75 mills, renewal, three years
—Richland Township, Fire & EMS, 1.00 mill, renewal, five Years
—Ripley Township, Road, 2.50 mills, renewal, five Years
—Clark Township Fire District, Fire & EMS, 2.00 mills, renewal, five years
“Since 2008, we have posted this specific information for every levy-affected property on our website,” McKee said. “It is important to have this information available to voters so they can be informed on proposed and future increases to their tax bill.”
