Dover graduate and gold Olympics athlete Hunter Armstrong will visit the Dover Public Library Children’s Department on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 11 a.m. Armstrong will read a story to kids and their families in the castle area of the library.

Armstrong is no stranger to the library. After the 2020 Summer Olympics, Armstrong visited the library to read a story and answer kids’ questions about his Olympics journey. That was not Armstrong’s first visit to the library. Armstrong frequented the library as a child growing up in Dover. He even performed some of his magic tricks in the library, some when he was younger.

“Hunter is such a blessing to our community,” said Jen Gardner, children’s department manager. “He always remembers where he’s from and takes the time to visit and speak with residents in Dover when he can.”

The Dover Public Library is located at 525 N. Walnut St. in Dover.
