Kick off summer with the Dover Marching Tornadoes at the Marching into Summer Festival. The Dover High School band will host a festival on Saturday, June 1 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Dover Middle School parking lot.

Marching into Summer will feature performances by the Dover steel band and Dover jazz band along with games, a silent auction, several food vendors, a dunk tank, face painting, caricature drawings and cow pie bingo. Performances are free.

Cow pie bingo tickets are on sale for $20 per ticket, and tickets will be sold in advance. A ticket buys a 3-by-3 plot on the grid and a chance to win $1,000.

At 1 p.m. on the day of the festival, a cow will be led onto a field with a grid and left to do its business. Wherever the cow pie lands, that 3-by-3 plot owner will win $1,000. Reach out to any Dover Marching Tornado member or leave a comment requesting a ticket on the Dover Marching Tornadoes Facebook page.
