Dr. Sarah Andreas

Dr. Sarah Andreas is the featured speaker of the 2024 Women’s Success Series on Friday, May 3 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at Kent State Tuscarawas in the Science and Advanced Technology Center. The cost to attend is $15 when paid in advance and $20 at the door. The fee includes a continental breakfast.

The Women’s Success Series is designed to inspire women of all ages to succeed personally and professionally. Each year the leadership series features three women who have enjoyed a measure of success in Tuscarawas County. The sessions also include networking opportunities and a book discussion or TED Talk. The May 2024 discussion will feature the TED Talk, My year of saying yes to everything, by Shonda Rhimes.

“You will not want to miss the presentation by Dr. Sarah Andreas. Her career is dedicated to encouraging others to become leaders of their own lives, creating positive change in both business and community,” said Wendy Zucal, director of Dennison Railroad Depot Museum and one of the event organizers. “Through this series we aim to share the stories of remarkable women who pave the way for future generations to inspire and build a community for current and future leadership in the county. The audience is comprised of women of all ages and from all walks of life. We are blessed in this community to have so many strong women to lead in the business community.”

Andreas has a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership. Her research explored the link between leadership development and the holistic integration of mind, body and soul. This academic path led her to discover a connection between leadership and creative, mindful practices, shaping her career as a professional artist, transformational coach and business expert. Currently, she serves as an assistant professor of business management and applied technology at Kent State Tuscarawas. Andreas also is the owner of WiseWood LLC, where she continues to apply and share her expertise.

May 3 is the second session of a three-part annual series. The third session of the 2024 series will be June 7 and will feature Shyanne Carroll. The first session featured Amy Smith.

The Women’s Success Series is sponsored by Dennison Railroad Depot Museum and Kent State Tuscarawas, in collaboration with Carlene Farms, Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District and the Tuscarawas Economic Development Corporation.
