Rev. Sanders to speak at Coshocton luncheon
Third Lenten Luncheon set for March 4 at The Presbyterian Church, featuring soups and pies from local churches.
“Victory Over Hardship” is the message Rev. Joe Sanders will bring to those attending the third Lenten Luncheon Wednesday, March 4.
For the past 13 years, he has been leading the First Baptist Church, Bible-believing disciples of Jesus committed to making more disciples. He met his wife during high school days at Lima Senior High School, and they have supported each other through college, graduate school and ministry of four churches. Two sons, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren complete the family. Sanders will use scripture passages from Psalms 73:1-3 and John 16:33.
The Lenten Luncheons are held in the fellowship hall of The Presbyterian Church, 142 N. Fourth St., Coshocton, across from Court Square. The luncheons begin at 11:45 a.m. and end promptly at 12:45 p.m.
Church Women United coordinates the churches providing soups, pies and kitchen workers. Members of The Fellowship of Christian Athletes provide additional support with workers from local high schools.
Churches providing soups and pies for this luncheon are Emmanuel Lutheran Church and Isleta United Methodist Church. Mike Cichon and his culinary arts students at Coshocton County Career Center will provide one of the soup selections. Attendees have a choice of soup and pie options. Tables are supplied with selections of cheese provided by Pearl Valley Cheese. Donations are taken for the meal.
Parking is available in the lot adjacent to the church and in the city parking lot nearby. In the event of inclement weather and the need for cancellation, information will be available on WTNS Radio.
