can find your joy at the Coshocton County District Library.
National Library Week April 19-25 is a time to celebrate
the many ways libraries bring people together, spark imagination and promote
lifelong learning to support thriving communities. Whether you're a longtime
patron, a new neighbor or haven’t visited in a while, now is the perfect time
to explore all the library has to offer.

If reading brings you joy, check out a new spring book
release such as the fantastical adventure “The Astral Library” by Kate Quinn,
the romantic comedy “Without a Clue” by Melissa Ferguson or the spy thriller
“Cold Zero” by Brad Thor.
If gathering with your community brings you joy, join us at
an upcoming program. A few of the library’s events this month include Missionary
Aircraft Repair: MMS Aviation at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 8; John Nash: Coshocton
County’s Fallen Revolutionary War Veteran at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 13; and Look for the Helpers: When Coshocton County Showed Up for Our Neighbors at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 29. Each program will be held at the Coshocton County Main Library
and requires registration.
If learning new skills brings you joy, check out the

Special celebration days during National Library Week are as
follows:
—Monday, April 20: Right to Read Day, a day for
readers, advocates and library lovers to take action to protect, defend and
celebrate the right to read. The State of America’s Libraries Report is
released.

—Tuesday, April 21: National Library Workers Day, a
day to recognize the valuable contributions made by all library workers.
—Wednesday, April 22: National Library Outreach Day, a
day to celebrate the dedicated library staff who are meeting patrons where they
are, from Bookmobile stops all over Coshocton County to homebound services and school and day care visits.
—Thursday, April 23: Take Action for Libraries Day, a
day to rally advocates to support libraries.
First celebrated in 1958, National Library Week is a
national observance sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries
of all types across the country each April.
