Norton Tournament is battle of two state champions

Conotton Valley left off where they finished the girls bowling season last year in tournament action: as a force to be reckoned with.

The Lady Rockets placed second in the early December Norton Panther Challenge last week. Nordonia was last years’ Division 1 state champs and the Rockets were the Division II state champions.

The Panthers tallied a 3,812 score while the Rockets scored 3,729 in the field of 18 teams.

McKenzie Willoughby rolled games of 203,236 and 225 for a 664 series, followed by Alexis Booth 469 (168, 133, 168), Mylie Galigher 622 (194, 224, 204), Lilah Williams 552 (221, 186, 145) and Haylee Myers 415 (142, 168, 106) for a total pinfall of 2,722 to add to a six game Baker total of 1,017.
