Tuscarawas County sets Dec. 13 tag-in for 2026 market beef exhibitors

4-H and FFA youth who plan to exhibit a market beef animal at the 2026 Tuscarawas County Fair must present their animal at market beef tag-in.

4-H and FFA youth who plan to exhibit a market beef animal at the 2026 Tuscarawas County Fair must present their animal at market beef tag-in Dec. 13 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Main Show Arena at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds. There is no makeup date and no preregistration is required. More information is available at go.osu.edu/tuscanimalsciences.

The Ohio State Fair requires individual DNA samples for all market beef that may be entered in the 2026 fair. Samples must be received by the Ohio State Fair by Jan. 15, 2026; postmarks are not accepted. DNA sample kits will be available at tag-in for exhibitors interested in the state fair. Questions about the DNA process should be directed to Andrea Hershey at a.hershey@expo.ohio.gov.

A Tuscarawas County Extension professional must sign the collection envelope for 4-H members; FFA advisors will sign for FFA members. Exhibitors are responsible for mailing their samples to the Ohio State Fair.
