Medina County Bar Association awards Law Day scholarships
Medina High seniors earn top honors for essays on rule of law
The Medina County Bar Association announced two high school seniors as winners of its annual Law Day Scholarship.
The first-place recipient receives a $3,000 college scholarship, and the second-place recipient receives a $1,500 scholarship. The theme for Law Day 2026 was “The Rule of Law and the American Dream,” and applicants submitted essays based on that theme. The winning essays were selected from a field of highly qualified applicants.
The winners are Evan Browne of Medina High School, who earned first place, and Jonathan Robinson of Medina High School, who earned second place.
The scholarships were awarded at the Medina County Bar Association’s annual Law Day program May 1 at the Blair Conference Center. The keynote speaker was retired Judge James Kimbler.
