The Claggett Middle School Drama Club will present Frozen Jr. on the middle stage at Medina High School Feb. 6-8.

Based on the 2018 Broadway musical, Frozen Jr. brings Elsa, Anna and the magical land of Arendelle to life onstage. The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production. The Claggett production features more than 40 sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students.

Bradley Dalzell, in his 12th year teaching seventh-grade English language arts at Claggett, co-directs the musical with Nancy Wojciak, a retired Claggett music teacher. This is their 10th show together at the school. Previous productions include The Lion King Jr. (2016), Peter Pan Jr. (2017), The Little Mermaid Jr. (2018), Mary Poppins Jr. (2019), Shrek Jr. (2020), Matilda Jr. (2022), Beauty and the Beast Jr. (2023), The Wizard of Oz Jr. (2024) and Beetlejuice Jr. (2025).

“Directing Claggett’s production of Frozen Jr. has come with its challenges, especially as the weather refused to cooperate, but we’ve learned to let it go, pun intended,” Dalzell said. “This incredible cast brings heart, energy and remarkable talent to the stage and is sure to warm audiences from start to finish. Join us for the first time in forever as our students sing, dance and share the beloved Disney story of Elsa, Anna and their friends. Together, we’ll dream of summer and celebrate the magic of theater.”
