KCCC earns 5-star rating on 2024-25 state report card

The Career Technical Planning District Report Cards for the 2024-25 school year were released by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce recently. The CTPD results are made up of data from the Knox County Career Center High School and other career tech programs in the six associate schools: Centerburg, Clear Fork, Danville, East Knox, Fredericktown, and Mount Vernon. The data comes from the students enrolled in half-day career tech programming at KCCC and also in the associate schools where career tech classes are offered by class period in areas such as Ag, Family Consumer Science, Project Lead the Way, etc.

Knox County Career Center received a 5-star rating, which means KCCC significantly exceeds the state standards. One hundred percent (9 of 9) of the federal indicators were met. This is the third year in a row that the KCCC CTPD has received a 5 out of 5-star rating.

KCCC CTPD received 4 stars for Achievement. The data showed that the Technical Skill Attainment rate had a 100% participation rate with 82.1% passage. KCCC CTPD received a 5-star rating for its Graduation Rate. The data showed that our four-year graduation rate was 98.6% and the five-year rate was 99.2%. KCCC CTPD also received a 5-star rating in Career & Post Secondary Readiness. The data showed that our rating increased from 102.9% to 110.9%.

This number continues to improve as we increase the number of students in work-based learning opportunities, apprenticeships, internships, and those earning 12-point industry credentials. Finally, KCCC CTPD received a 5-star rating in Post-Program Outcomes. The data showed that our post-program placement increased from 92.5% to 97% for the CTPD, but the KCCC High School had a post-program placement rate of 97.4%.

I’m very proud of the career tech education options that we offer in Knox County and all of the work of our teachers and staff,” said Kathy Greenich, KCCC superintendent.
