Recently, two East Knox FFA members competed in the Dairy Cattle Judging Contest hosted by OSU Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster. The Dairy Cattle CDE is an educational activity designed as a hands-on experience to teach students how to select quality dairy cattle. Students will be evaluated on pedigree evaluation, sire selection, linear evaluation, a written exam, placing classes, and writing class notes.

Those two members were: Noah Beckley and McKenzie Schwartz. They placed 24th overall. The invitational contests help prepare students for the upcoming State Contest on April 1.
